•Typical hiring range for high cost of living locations (DC/CA/NYC): $25.00 - $34.00 hourly
•Typical hiring range for all other locations: $22.00 - $29.00 hourly
Reports To: Senior Accounting Manager
Supervisory Role: No
FLSA Status: Non-exempt, part time (15-20 hours per week)
Job Summary
The Accounting Coordinator supports the company’s financial operations across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting functions. This role ensures accuracy and timeliness in financial processing, assists with payroll and vendor management, and contributes to audit and compliance activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions
Accounts Receivable
Prepare and process external customer forms and setup with minimal supervision.
Set up and maintain profiles in third-party systems as needed.
Create invoices according to Out & Equal practices and submit to customers.
Record and reconcile payment information in NetSuite, Salesforce, and other financial software.
Save and maintain check copies and payment documentation.
Report on, and escalate, payment issues internally for additional support as needed.
Accounts Payable
Submit vendor invoices for approval and ensure timely processing.
Issue purchase orders (POs) and track open commitments.
Send and manage new vendor onboarding forms and ACH setup requests.
Accounting
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
Assist in monthly and year-end close processes as needed.
Payroll & Miscellaneous
Manage payroll processing, including following up for time-off approvals and ensuring payroll accuracy.
Monitor and manage shared email inboxes.
Annual & Compliance Tasks
Prepare and file annual 1099 forms, ensuring vendor data and transaction details are accurate.
Assist with audits, tax filing, and other accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications (Licenses, Certifications, Education Related Experience, technology)
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Degree may be substituted for an equivalent amount of experience.
2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar ERP systems strongly preferred.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Independent learner who is detail-oriented and quality-focused.
Adaptive and willing to take on new assignments.
Ability to communicate professionally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Job Requirements
This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) more than half the time
